Private Birthday Party Nannies: Let the Adults Celebrate Too
From milestone dinners to children's parties, how a private party nanny lets every adult enjoy the occasion while the children have a celebration of their own.
A birthday party nanny is a trained carer who looks after the children at your celebration, so every adult can be fully present. They set up a welcoming children’s space, guide the activities, and stay until the last child is collected. It works for adult milestone dinners and for children’s parties alike.
The familiar problem
Parents of young children often attend a celebration without quite arriving. They miss the toast because someone needed the bathroom, or leave before the cake because a child is overtired.
A party nanny changes that. The adults celebrate, and the children have a celebration of their own.
Who it is for
- Adult milestone birthdays. A 30th, 40th or 50th where friends and family bring young children.
- Children’s birthday parties. Hosts who would like the programme guided, so they can enjoy their guests.
- Intimate dinners. One or two carers looking after the children in an adjacent space while the adults dine.
The common thread is simple: no one at the party is half-managing a child alongside their own evening.
How it works
We begin with a short conversation about the occasion, the venue or home, and the ages of the children attending. From there we recommend the number of carers and a simple children’s programme.
On the day, our carers arrive ahead of guests, set up, and welcome each child as they arrive.
- For adult celebrations, children are cared for in a dedicated space, with quiet activities, food and rest.
- For children’s parties, we guide games, crafts and creative activities, so the party feels joyful and organised.
At home
Many birthday celebrations take place at private homes, where one space has to serve two purposes. Our carers work within the real shape of a home, dividing indoor and outdoor areas so the adult celebration and the children’s space each feel comfortable.
Questions hosts ask
How many carers do we need?
It depends on the number and ages of the children. We plan for a maximum of one carer to every five children, and one to every three for children under three. We confirm the right number once we know who is coming.
Can carers run party games and activities?
Yes. Programmes are shaped around the birthday child’s age and the ages of the children attending, from creative activities to outdoor play.
Do you look after children at adult celebrations too?
Yes. For adult occasions, our focus is on caring for the children in a calm, dedicated space, so parents can enjoy the evening.
How long should we book for?
Most parties need some time before guests arrive for set-up, and some time after for a calm handover. We will suggest timings once we know your plans.
