Our Standards
The Standard We Hold.
These are the expectations every carer meets before their first booking, and keeps on every booking after it. They protect the children in our care, the families who trust us, and you.
Before your first booking

Credentials
A current Blue Card and current paediatric first aid & CPR.

Experience
A minimum of two years’ professional childcare experience, with references we can speak to.

Qualifications
A childcare or early childhood qualification is welcome, though not required.

For Family Assistance
A driver’s licence and your own vehicle.
On every booking

Presentation and conduct
You arrive well presented and represent Bloom & Nurture professionally, with the family, their guests and the children.

Punctuality and preparation
You arrive on time, having read the booking details, family notes or run sheet.

Communication
You keep Bloom & Nurture and the family informed, and raise anything that concerns you early.

Child safety and boundaries
The children’s safety comes first, always. Your care is calm, respectful and appropriate.

Confidentiality and discretion
A family’s home, routines, details and private events are never shared, in conversation or online.

Following the plan
You follow the family’s instructions, the children’s routines and any care plan or event arrangement agreed for the booking.

Every carer representing Bloom & Nurture is selected with care. We look at experience, credentials and professional suitability, and at an approach to children that aligns with our own.

Interview
We meet you in person to understand how you think about care, children and families.

Verification
We verify your identity, working rights, Blue Card and first aid & CPR, and complete a police check and reference checks.

Onboarding
Before your first booking, we take you through our professional standards, communication expectations and approach to care.
Working With Bloom & Nurture
How Bookings Work.
Each booking is considered individually. We match the needs of a family or event with a carer whose experience, availability and location suit it.

We identify a booking that suits your experience, availability and location, assess what it requires, and confirm you’re available before offering it.

Clearly briefed
When you accept, you receive the details you need: the children, the arrangements and what’s expected of you.

Care delivered
You arrive prepared, follow the agreed arrangements and uphold our standards from start to finish.

Invoice submitted
As an independent contractor, you invoice Bloom & Nurture for completed work, in line with our payment process.
Bookings span all of our services: private nanny support, including overnight and holiday care; family assistance; wedding, event and corporate childcare. Work is offered as it suits rather than guaranteed, and varies with the season and the needs of each family or event. Where a family has ongoing care, we keep the same carer with them wherever possible.
